Order alerts
Texts and emails about new orders. You’ll hear when an order is paid for and ready to cook — which for a card order is when the payment clears, not when the button was pressed.
Kitchen contact numbers
These go on the public website — the contact page, the footer and the order-tracking screen — and the phone number also goes in the footer of every email we send. Leave one blank and that button simply doesn’t appear.
Not the same as the alert numbers above. Those are staff handsets and stay private. Anything typed here is published, so don’t put a personal mobile in unless you are happy for a customer to ring it at nine on a Saturday.
Messages to customers
Order confirmations and the “it’s on its way” updates. Switch one off when a channel is misbehaving — it stops immediately, without a deploy.
Text customers about their orders
Message customers on WhatsApp
- Switching one back on only resumes messages to customers who already agreed to them. It can never re-subscribe anybody.
- Sign-up verification codes are not affected — people can still register.
- Email is not affected. Receipts still go out.
Delivery areas
The postcodes you drive to and what each one costs. Edited on the delivery screen, alongside the orders going out to them.
Manage delivery areas →Test payments
Take an order through end to end with a fake card. Orders still reach the kitchen and still look real — nothing is charged, and the storefront tells customers so for as long as it is on.
Test mode is on.
Every page of the storefront is showing a test-mode banner. Nothing ordered now is paid for.
